The lives and times of everything that ever has or ever will exist are written in the Giant Book of Destiny. Through the inattention of our slightly distracted fact checker, the backup copy has been stolen! Space Dick Ace Galaksi has 24 hours to locate it before Destiny itself is REWRITTEN. We’ve re-worked Episode 7 Space Dick At Large (the race to save destiny for the Fringe by adding faces to our voices!

The action plays out in a 1930s style recording session with live(ish) foley – accentuated with spaced out illustrations – because when a book’s this big, it demands pictures!

The Fringe runs from July 21 – 31. Tickets available on demand throughout the eleven days of the festival with a $5 festival pass and can be purchased for $13 on the show’s website page throughout  the festival.

Ace will be in the Toronto Fringe July 22 – 31st 2021!! To satisfy everyone’s hunger for what’s to come we’ve got a small tidbit – an appetizer as it were, of the sumptuous meal ahead.

Season Three Cast Talk Back

Back in 2020 the timeline broke and everything went awry. The same thing happened inside of Destiny. Who broke time and how did they fix it again?  

Get up close and personal with Ace’s creators and cast as they discuss the bandages and superglue used in Fixing the Timeline. Warning there is talk of pizza. Do not listen on an empty stomach.  

Auditions!

On the dark side, a couple of our actors have moved on to other things. On the bright we’re holding auditions!

We are beginning work on season 4 of the show and are looking for one male and one female actor for a variety of roles. We are open to seeing actors of any age. As an audio drama, we are especially interested in versatile, voice actors. This is an ongoing show. After this season we will begin work on the next one. Cast participation and collaboration is encouraged. 

This is a non-equity, non paying production

Rehearsals: We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm over zoom

Preparation: Please prepare a self tape from the sides provided

Requirements: Everyone who joins the company will need to have a quality microphone.

Characters you’ll be reading

Copy Aide (male): Personal assistant to the editor-in-chief of the Giant Book of Destiny, the Aide is the person in every office who actually knows everything that’s going on. He aspires to one day becomes the editor. 

Fact checker Frin (female): Scatterbrained and excitable, Fact checker Frin (not so secretly) dreams about one day becoming a writer.

Millford (male): The millipede that runs the traffic department of Destiny, Millford considers himself the choreographer of time. He dates everyone. 

Gaudium (female): Gaudium is a wide-eyed, shimmering being from the most wonderful planet every created. She is so happy with her existence she wants to personally thank the editors at Destiny. Until her planet is inexplicably, irreversibly, totally obliterated – leaving her the last of her kind.

Episode 15 – An Unwritten Christmas

The lists had been checked, naughty and nice. 

Then St. Nick got unwanted advice.

A disaster at Destiny wiped Christmas off the page. 

Not a toy was left on the holiday stage!

Will this year’s Christmas be empty and stark?

The only clue we have – is a big question mark!
